What is Fioricet?

Fioricet is a mixture of Acetaminophen along with butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine. Acetaminophen is an anti-inflammatory agent and the ability to reduce fever. Butalbital is part of a class of medications known as barbiturates. It eases muscle contractions that are that cause tension headaches. Caffeine is an important central nerve system stimulant. It reduces muscle tension in blood vessels , which improve the flow of blood. Fioricet is a treatment for tension headaches, which are due to muscle tension.
